HOW IT WORKS

Meadows Laundromat is your local go-to destination for an easy and comfortable laundry experience in east Auckland.

We take pride in maintaining a space that's clean, tidy, and welcoming for our customers. With daily cleaning routines, we ensure our laundromat meets a high standard of cleanliness, so you can feel comfortable and at ease every time you visit.

Our spacious premises has lots of natural light and industrial machines in excellent condition. Conveniently located in the Meadowlands village of restaurants (just 5 minutes drive from Botany town centre) we are close to restaurants and Countdown supermarket, making it simple to run errands and/or grab a bite while your washing or drying is on.

IT'S SIMPLE!

1. Bring your Meadows Laundromat laundry card (PICTURED ABOVE). You can top up onsite using Eftpos/Credit card or cash notes. New cards are $3 one time cost and can be purchased onsite. The new card pops out in your first top up.

2. Bring your own laundry detergent or powder.

3. Load a washer and wait 22-25 minutes for the washing to complete. Empty the washer to allow the next customer to use the machine.

4. Load a dryer and collect on time to allow the next customer to use the machine. A standard load takes 30-40 minutes to dry. Times will vary depending on the thickness and quantity of items.

Are you open on Christmas Day and public holidays?

YES! We are always open 24/7. We never close.

What can I use to purchase or top up my laundry card?

You can use your Eftpos/Credit card or cash notes.

I hear you offer some good top up specials, what are they?

If you top up $50 onto your laundry card, you receive $5 free credit, $100 top ups get $10 free credit and $200 top ups get $25 free credit.

How do I get my free credit when I utilise one of these top up specials?

Please text us on 021 250 3220 and give your name and laundry card number and we will load your free credit onto your laundry card.

Can I wash my pet blankets or boots/shoes in your washers?

NO, sorry we do not have a dedicated washer for pet blankets or boots/shoes.

Do you do serviced washing?

No, we do not offer this service. We are solely a self-service laundromat. If you do your own washing and drying it will only take a little over 1 hour and you’re done. 22-25 minutes for a wash and 30-40 minutes to dry depending on your load. It’s quick and easy.

I forgot to bring my own laundry powder/detergent, can I purchase any onsite?

Yes you can. There is a vending machine that has laundry powder for $2 (1 packet = 2 scoops), fabric softener and laundry bags and snacks for your convenience. You can pay using $2 coins or Paywave.

How fully can I load the washers?

The rule of thumb is to load the washer 2/3 full to allow room for water and spinning to occur. This gives you the best wash. If the washers are loaded too fully, your washing will not spin dry properly and will still be slightly wet when the washing is completed.

How much detergent or powder should I use?

Each of our washers (Small 8kg, Large 18kg, Jumbo 28kg) have the recommended scoop suggestions on the top left-hand corners of each machine. These scoop suggestions are for a full load of 2/3 full. If your load is less than this, please reduce the number of scoops.

Is it better to put more powder/detergent than your scoop suggestions?

NO, you should not put more than the recommended scoops suggested. It is better for your clothes to put less powder/detergent than more. Also, the washer will go out of order if too much powder or detergent is used and this means that you won’t be able to open the washer and will have to wait for us to come and reboot your machine.

What happens if there are items missing from my washing?

We do not recommend leaving your laundry overnight. Please wait for your washer or dryer to finish and collect your laundry on time. If items are missing please file a Police Report with the police and provide them with as much information as you can, IE date, time, what number machine you used, a description of the item(s) stolen, a description of yourself, your 10 digit laundry card number etc. We are not permitted to release CCTV footage to customers. We can only release to the police when requested.

We take no responsibility for items that go missing. Please take care of all your personal belongings and don’t leave them unattended.
